Art Hives

“Communities are not built of friends, or of groups of people with similar styles and tastes, or even of people who like and understand each other. They are built of people who feel they are part of something that is bigger than themselves. To build community requires only the ability to see value in others: to look at them and see a potential partner in one's enterprise.”

-Suzanne Goldsmith, A City Year, 1997

Art Therapy Groups

We have groups for all ages of your family from seniors 55+, adults 18+, teens, children and preschoolers.

In our art therapy groups, we have a maximum capacity of 6 participants because we know it's important to have the time and space to connect with you and your art making in our intimate studio setting.

Participating in an art therapy group is a gentle introduction to art therapy if you have never tried it before. Build community and hear other participant's experiences. Share as much or as little as you like through your art.

Our art therapists are experts at guiding you through a process of self-discover and a person-centred approach.

All art therapy groups are facilitated by a professional art therapist or art psychotherapy student. These professionals have 2 years masters level credentials in art therapy and counselling experience.

Background, criminal reference and vulnerable sector checks have been completed for all facilitators and they are are in good standing with the Canadian Art Therapy Association.

View our current groups to see which may be the best fit for you or a family member.
